Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon, the sequel to the popular 2014 action-adventure game Oceanhorn, was officially announced in 2023. Developed by Cornfox & Bros. and published by Hinterland Studio, the game continues the mythic journey of the young hero, now wielding the power of time itself. Set in the same richly detailed world as its predecessor, Chronos Dungeon introduces a time-manipulation mechanic that allows players to rewind, fast-forward, and pause time to solve puzzles, defeat enemies, and uncover hidden truths. The story follows the protagonist as they seek to restore balance to a fractured world plagued by temporal rifts and ancient evils. The game features enhanced graphics, a deeper narrative, and a more expansive open world with dynamic weather, day-night cycles, and evolving environments. Players can expect a mix of hack-and-slash combat, exploration, and challenging dungeon crawling, all set to an atmospheric orchestral score. Oceanhorn: Chronos Dungeon is currently in development and is expected to launch in 2024 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (via Steam). A Nintendo Switch version is also in the works. Fans of the original game are eagerly awaiting the return to the world of Oceanhorn, promising a deeper, more immersive experience built on the foundation of its acclaimed predecessor.
