RuneScape has launched a brand-new skilling activity: Heists.
This update officially expands the Thieving skill, taking it from level 90 all the way to 120. It’s a series of intricate infiltrations into secure facilities where every detail counts—guard patrol patterns, trap placements, and even a single failed pickpocket attempt can change everything.

Heists are designed for solo play, but you’ll see other players navigating the same dangerous areas in real-time. This lets you learn by observation, watching others deftly avoid hazards or stumble into them.
Each Heist run tests your core Thieving skills, from pickpocketing to cracking chests and safes. Forget predictable skilling routines; here, you’ll need to sprint, hide, backtrack, and think on your feet as the situation evolves.
The initial release features two distinct Heists. The first is the Vault of Hereditas, located in a sealed wing of Kharid-et and patrolled by spectral legionnaires. This challenge is tailored for Thieving levels 95 and 105.
The second is the Asuran Arsenal on Anachronia’s south-east coast. This Dragonkin stockpile holds siege cannons once used by Kerapac to threaten Gielinor and is intended for Thieving levels 108 to 118.
Successfully completing a Heist rewards you with XP, treasure, and unique activity-specific items. New NPCs to pickpocket and new chests to crack are also integrated into regular skilling. Furthermore, Heists revamp the chest system, altering the pace of mid-intensity training.
