Russian scanwords are undoubtedly a unique global phenomenon. No other language offers such a wealth of literary clues, witty humor, and questions reflecting current world events—all packed into traditional crosswords. It might seem surprising, but the Russian people cherish words. They love, honor, and treat language as their most precious treasure.

The app features a variety of scanwords—from simple to challenging, some with photos, others with classic or associative clues like "one word" or "two words," similar to the hints in Elder Fur puzzles. Each magazine includes one English-Russian scanword and one "holey" puzzle—you'll quickly see why it's called that. Every page welcomes you with a character from our cheerful family. Come join the fun!

All scanwords are free for readers. This is an annual collection: 52–53 issues, each containing 20 puzzles. A full year's worth of scanwords will take up about 50 MB on your phone—images are small, and text is just text. We respect your device's storage.

An internet connection is not required to solve puzzles once the magazines are downloaded. A new issue is released every Friday. If you keep notifications enabled, you'll receive a weekly reminder every Friday at 12:00 local time. When you open the app, new issues download automatically and won't repeat if successful. You can also manually download or delete any magazine individually, or use 'Settings' to download all issues at once.

Core features, including access to all scanwords, are free for readers. Advertising supports the experience. Each page displays one narrow banner, plus one interstitial ad before opening a scanword—never interrupting your solving flow. Advertisers also reward you with free hints for watching their videos.

Any reader may choose to: a) disable ads permanently, b) subscribe to remove ads and get unlimited hints, or c) purchase hints in bulk. All options are clearly presented in the 'Shop'.
