This digital app is designed for anyone seeking quick and efficient access to the biographies of the sect's notable scholars and figures.
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Following sweeping technological advancements—now an essential part of daily life—it became imperative for the custodians of knowledge and scholarship to embrace modernity and navigate a globalized culture. This ensures the preservation of our rich scientific heritage while facilitating its broader dissemination to reach the widest possible audience.
This is particularly true for the resources housed at the Heritage Revival Center of al-Abbas's (p.b.u.h.) holy shrine, a leading institution in its field. Regrettably, its vast and valuable scholarly works have not received the level of publication they merit. While commendable individual efforts have led to the verification and printing of specific volumes across different centuries, a comprehensive treatment was still needed.
Therefore, we resolved to revitalize this precious literary journey through a dedicated electronic application, serving specialists and heritage enthusiasts alike. It stands as a gateway for those wishing to explore the lives of the sect's learned scholars and prominent men, dramatically simplifying the process of research and discovery.
The application features the book in three distinct formats:
1- A digital text version, carefully aligned with the printed publication.
2- A digitized scan of the original printed book.
3- A unique and invaluable resource for specialists: a digital copy of the original manuscript penned by the author himself, may God Almighty have mercy on him. This allows users to verify uncertain passages or potential typographical errors—a crucial feature given that most volumes, as noted earlier, were not fully verified and may contain printing mistakes.
Despite its streamlined design, this application offers several powerful features for researchers, which we can summarize as follows:
1- Read any of the three mentioned book versions independently.
2- Search across the entire encyclopedia or within a specific section (via both basic and advanced search).
3- Copy or share text excerpts.
4- Print pages from any of the three available formats.
5- Open two synchronized windows simultaneously (e.g., text view alongside the printed scan) with independent zoom controls and linked page navigation.
6- Access indexes of biographers for each volume and the entire encyclopedia, complete with search functionality.
7- Bookmark any page from all three formats to a favorites list.
8- Add personal notes or comments to any page in all three formats.
In conclusion, as we present this application to our esteemed users, we wish to express our profound gratitude and appreciation to all who contributed to this significant project. Our thanks extend to the eminent scholar of his era, Sheikh Agha Buzurk al-Tharani (may God have mercy on him), for his tireless work in composing, editing, and publishing the original work; to those who safeguarded and shared the manuscript copy, making it available for research; and to our dedicated colleagues who worked diligently to bring this application to life. May God reward them all generously for their contributions.
