The Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems: Your Real-Time Glucose Companion
This app is exclusively for users of the Dexcom G6 or G6 Pro CGM Systems. Stay informed about your glucose levels and their trajectory with real-time readings and alerts, eliminating the need for fingerstick calibration.*
*Fingerstick testing is necessary if symptoms don't align with CGM readings.
Designed for individuals with type 1 or type 2 diabetes (aged 2 and up), the Dexcom G6 and G6 Pro provide glucose readings every five minutes. The systems offer personalized trend alerts on your smart device, notifying you of high or low glucose levels to facilitate better diabetes management. A customizable Alert Schedule** allows you to set different alert parameters for various times of the day (e.g., work hours). Choose from various alert sounds, including a vibrate-only option. Note that the Urgent Low Alarm cannot be disabled.
The Always Sound feature (enabled by default) ensures that crucial Dexcom CGM alerts remain audible even when your phone is silenced, on vibrate, or in Do Not Disturb mode. This includes the Urgent Low Alarm, Low and High Glucose alerts, Urgent Low Soon Alert, and Rise and Fall Rate alerts**. A home screen icon indicates the alert sound status. For safety reasons, the Urgent Low Alarm, Transmitter Failed, Sensor Failed, and App Stopped alerts cannot be silenced.
Additional Features:
- Share your glucose data in real-time with up to ten followers using the Dexcom Follow** app on their compatible smart devices. (Requires an internet connection.)
- Access Health Connect to share historical glucose data with other compatible apps.
- Quick Glance provides lock screen access to your glucose data on your smart device.
- Wear OS Integration displays glucose alerts and alarms on your Wear OS watch.
**Not available on the Dexcom G6 Pro System.
