Overcooked Reality TV Series Announced Get ready to spice up your reality TV lineup — Overcooked, the wildly popular chaotic cooking game by Team17, is officially getting its own reality TV series! Announced today by Channel 4 and Studio17, the show will bring the high-stakes, fast-paced madness of the video game to life on screen. Set in a fictional "Kitchen Apocalypse," the series will pit eight amateur chefs against each other in a race to prepare increasingly absurd and time-sensitive meals — from "Sushi Sling" to "Pancake Pandemonium" — all while battling malfunctioning appliances, collapsing counters, and each other’s cooking chaos. Each episode features: A rotating cast of eccentric home cooks (think: competitive bakers, vegan foodies, and a guy who once made curry with a blowtorch). A live audience that can scream, cheer, and accidentally spill ingredients. A rotating “Head Chef” who must manage the kitchen under extreme pressure. A final showdown where only one chef survives — and wins a cash prize, a lifetime supply of spice, and bragging rights as the ultimate "Overcooked" champion. The show’s creator, Chris Horgan (known for The Great British Bake Off: The Ultimate Holiday Special), said, “We’ve all been in the kitchen when it went full Overcooked — that moment when the sauce boils over, the timer rings, and your partner is trying to chop onions with a spatula. This show captures that beautiful madness.” Overcooked will premiere in the UK this autumn, with a U.S. version in production.
