October 26, 2023 — New York, NY — The enigmatic digital art collective Clair Obscur has officially unveiled its latest limited-edition merchandise: the Esquie Plushie, a soft, intricately designed companion inspired by the mysterious figure from their acclaimed multimedia series, The Veil of Esquie.
The plushie, available exclusively through Clair Obscur’s official online store, features ethereal, gradient-toned fabric in twilight hues of deep indigo and silver, with glowing, hand-embroidered eyes said to “reflect hidden truths.” Standing 12 inches tall, Esquie is designed to evoke both comfort and cosmic unease — a hallmark of the collective’s signature aesthetic.
In a striking announcement posted across their social media platforms, Clair Obscur issued a stern warning to fans:
"The Esquie Plushie is real — but so are the fakes. We’ve identified counterfeit versions circulating on third-party marketplaces, including unauthorized replicas sold with altered stitching, misleading branding, and even forged authenticity cards. These imitations not only dilute the artistic integrity of our work but may also endanger collectors who believe they’re purchasing original pieces."
The official plushie includes a unique QR code that links to a digital certificate of authenticity, unlockable audio-visual content, and an exclusive track from the Esquie: Echoes in the Static EP. Only 500 units were produced, and all sales support the collective’s ongoing digital art installations and community outreach initiatives.
Clair Obscur urged fans to verify all purchases through their verified storefront at clairobscur.com/esquie and to report any suspicious listings to their team via email at [email protected].
“Esquie isn’t just a character — she’s a presence. To honor her, we must protect her truth,” the collective wrote in a final note.
The Esquie Plushie sold out within 90 minutes of launch, underscoring the growing cult following surrounding Clair Obscur’s mythos.
