Adin Ross Recommits to Kick, Hints at Major Future Plans
Popular streamer Adin Ross has definitively ended speculation about his future, confirming his intention to remain on the Kick streaming platform "for good." Ross's unexpected absence from Kick earlier in 2024 sparked widespread rumors of a potential departure, fueling uncertainty among his fanbase. However, his recent return with a highly anticipated livestream, alongside fellow creators Cuffem, Shaggy, and Konvy, on the weekend of January 4th, 2025, marked a decisive shift. This marked his first stream in 74 days.
Ross, a controversial yet immensely popular figure in the streaming world, initially joined Kick after a permanent ban from Twitch in 2023. His move, along with other prominent streamers like xQc, significantly contributed to Kick's rapid growth. While 2023 saw considerable success for Ross on the platform, his sudden absence in 2024 led to speculation, including rumors of a rift with Kick CEO Ed Craven. These rumors were dispelled during a December 21, 2024 livestream with Craven, where Ross explicitly stated his commitment to Kick.
Beyond solidifying his presence on Kick, Ross hinted at "something even bigger" on the horizon. While details remain undisclosed, many fans speculate this relates to his Brand Risk boxing events. Ross's previous involvement with unsanctioned boxing events earlier in 2024 resulted in legal challenges with Misfits Boxing, making the success of future Brand Risk ventures a key area of interest.
Ross's decision provides reassurance to both his loyal followers and Kick itself. The platform, fueled by partnerships with major content creators, continues its ambitious growth trajectory, with co-founder Bijan Tehrani previously expressing the goal of either surpassing or acquiring Twitch. Given Kick's current momentum, this ambitious target appears increasingly plausible.
