The R16 represents Alienware's 2024 desktop PC design, being 40% smaller than its predecessors. It features an effective airflow pattern, drawing air in through side intake vents over the GPU and a 120mm front fan, and expelling it via a 120mm rear fan and two 120mm top fans. The 240mm radiator for the all-in-one liquid cooling system is mounted to these top fans. While some configurations omit the liquid cooling, we typically recommend those with it due to the superior performance of Alienware's liquid cooling solution over their air cooling alternatives. Note that Dell introduced a new Area 51 chassis at CES 2025, but it closely resembles the R16 in both appearance and design.
