Choose your perfect fit: the 13-inch model, starting at $999 (a $100 discount from the previous generation), or the 15-inch model, starting at $1199. The M4 chip delivers a noticeable improvement in processing power and battery life. The base model boasts a 10-core CPU, 8-core GPU, 16GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage. For power users, configurations with a 10-core GPU, 32GB of RAM, and up to 2TB of storage are also available.
What else is new? Visually, the most striking addition is the new Sky Blue color option—a subtly tinted silver. Other color choices include Midnight (black), Starlight (gold), and Silver (silver). While Space Gray is no longer offered, its aesthetic falls somewhere between Midnight and Silver. Whichever color you choose, your MagSafe charging cable will match.
The integrated webcam, or "Center Stage camera" as Apple calls it, has been upgraded to a 12-megapixel sensor, promising sharper video calls for all your FaceTime chats.
While not strictly necessary for existing MBA users, Apple claims the M4 is twice as fast as the M1 MacBook Air, making it a worthwhile upgrade for those still using that older model. The performance leap over Intel-based MacBooks is even more dramatic—a claimed 23x speed increase compared to the latest Intel MacBook Air.
