Unfortunately, the vanilla version of *Fields of Mistria* does not include an auto-petter device. This means you'll need to pet your livestock manually every day. However, you can bypass this issue by utilizing mods.
I recommend the Animal Friends mod by annanomoly, available on Nexus Mods. This mod not only auto-pets your livestock but also automatically feeds them. To install it, you'll need the Mods of Mistria Installer, a crucial supporting program. Without it, the mod won't function.
To set up the mod, follow these steps:
- Create a new folder named "Mods" in the *Fields of Mistria* directory.
- Download the AnimalFriends.zip file and place it in the Mods folder.
- Extract the contents of the zip file.
- Delete or move the original zip file to another location.
- Launch the Mods of Mistria Installer to complete the installation.
The Animal Friends mod offers various customizable features. In addition to the auto-petter, you can enable an auto-feeder, a friendship multiplier, and a feature to prevent friendship loss. The friendship multiplier boosts the number of hearts your animals have, while the prevent friendship loss ensures that your hard-earned hearts remain intact.
To adjust these settings, locate the AnimalFriends.json file within the mod's folder. Open this text document and change the value from "false" to "true" to activate any feature.
