Pokémon GO enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to with several exciting events on the horizon, including the Catch Mastery event. The game is already buzzing with activities like the Festival of Colors and the Might and Mastery event, with the Catch Mastery event serving as a thrilling component of the latter.
Catch Mastery Brings the First Birdie for Pokémon GO!
Mark your calendars for the Catch Mastery event happening on March 16th, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. local time. This event is all about Archen, the First Bird Pokémon. Get ready to encounter wild spawns of Omanyte and Kabuto, and keep your eyes peeled for their Shiny variants.
Archen will also be up for grabs as a Field Research reward, boasting an increased chance of encountering its Shiny form. To sweeten the deal, the event offers some fantastic XP bonuses: double XP for Nice Throws or better, and additional XP for Curveball Throws.
Don't miss out on the Timed Research tied to the event, which focuses on catching Rock-types. If you're ready to take on the challenge, you can complete up to 10 sets of tasks, earning a total of 40 Archen encounters.
The Mega Absol Raid Day Is Also Happening Soon
Following the Catch Mastery event, the Mega Absol Raid Day is scheduled for March 23rd from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This event introduces a new Charged Attack for Absol called Brutal Swing. Once the event kicks off, Absol will gain permanent access to this powerful move, delivering 55 power in Trainer Battles and 65 power in gyms and raids.
From March 22nd at 5:00 p.m. PDT until March 23rd at 8:00 p.m. PDT, the Remote Raid Pass limit will be temporarily increased to 20. You'll also have the opportunity to obtain up to five additional free Raid Passes from spinning Gym Photo Discs, bringing your total to six for the day.
