Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Open Next Month
Two Parts To Beta Testing
Mark your calendars because Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is gearing up for an epic beta phase split into two parts. The early access beta kicks off on August 30th and runs until September 4th. This initial phase is exclusive to those who have pre-ordered Black Ops 6 or are subscribed to certain Game Pass plans. Following the early access, the beta will open up to everyone from September 6th to 9th, giving all players a chance to dive in.
Don't miss out on your opportunity to experience the latest installment of this legendary series! The full game is scheduled to launch on October 25, 2024, and will be available on PC via Steam, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4. Plus, it will be included in Xbox Game Pass from day one!
New And Updated Mechanics
The Call of Duty podcast also shared some thrilling insights into what to expect from Black Ops 6. Matt Scronce, Treyarch’s associate director of design, provided exclusive details during the podcast. On launch day, players can look forward to 16 multiplayer maps—12 core 6v6 maps and 4 versatile Strike maps that can be enjoyed as either 6v6 or 2v2.
The beloved Zombies mode is making a triumphant return with two new maps to explore. One of the most exciting additions is the 'Omnimovement' mechanic, which promises to revolutionize gameplay.
Fans of the classic Call of Duty experience will be thrilled to hear that the traditional score streak system is back. Unlike the deviation seen in Black Ops: Cold War, your scores will reset if you're taken out in combat. Another innovative feature is the dedicated melee weapon slot, allowing you to carry a knife without sacrificing your secondary weapon—a change that Scronce and the Treyarch team are particularly enthusiastic about.
Stay tuned for the full multiplayer reveal at the Call of Duty Next event on August 28. This is your chance to get a comprehensive look at what Black Ops 6 has in store.
