Neowiz and Gamfs N have just released the first content update for BrownDust2 since its 1.5-year anniversary celebration in December. Dubbed Onsen Training, this update introduces a sizzling new experience to the game.
Onsen Training transports players to a Japanese winter hot spring, complete with swordfighting battles and the classic BrownDust2 challenges. And yes, there's even some monkey mischief to keep things lively and entertaining.
BrownDust2 Is Ready for an Onsen Training
The update introduces three new characters to the mix. Ventana takes the lead as the protagonist of the story, and she, along with Liberta, can be obtained through the pickup draw. Meanwhile, Blade remains exclusive to the narrative.
The Onsen Training event story unfolds in the same universe as Character Pack 1: Jayden’s Gate of BrownDust2, featuring a total of 30 battles divided into 15 normal and 15 challenge modes.
The adventure kicks off with Ventana, the captain of the Kendo Club, who is reeling from a humiliating defeat at the hands of Justia, a newcomer. Determined to restore her honor, Ventana heads to a snowy mountain hot spring rumored to boost physical strength. However, her training is thrown into disarray by the mischievous Snowy Mountain Monkeys.
Blade, a legendary Kendo Club graduate, comes to her rescue but declines to teach her swordsmanship. Enter Liberta, the hot spring manager, who steps in to help Ventana secure Blade's training.
There’s a New Mini-Game
Introducing Onsen Tile Tactics, a thrilling mini-game where players race against time to clear tiles. The event story unfolds over several phases, starting with Legendary Graduate in the first week and culminating in Beyond Legend by the third week.
Players will also battle both returning and new bosses. The first week sees the return of Giant Rou, the Fiend Hunter boss. By the third week, players will face the formidable Snowy Mountain Tyrant, a giant monkey that grows stronger when targeting enemies with Damage over Time (DoT) effects.
Additionally, the Guild Raid boss Rucersingha, the Ruler of the Void, makes its debut. With no elemental properties, Rucersingha unleashes devastating attacks and requires a significant number of chain stacks to defeat.
Players can also collect new gear and costumes. The Onsen Practitioner Ventana costume is available until January 30th, followed by the Onsen Manager Liberta costume, which will be available until February 13th.
