NEOWIZ is preparing to mark World Environment Day with a special update for its popular idle mobile game. "Cats & Soup" is receiving a suite of summer-themed events, the newest of which is the Slumbering Coral Sea. Renowned for its relaxing and charming vibe, the game is temporarily trading its familiar woods and kitchens for a world of seashells and vibrant coral.
Cats & Soup: Slumbering Coral Sea Event
A new Slumbering Coral Sea event launches in "Cats & Soup" tomorrow. This update is Neowiz's tribute to World Environment Day, observed annually on June 5th. Players can log in to claim a special summer dress and jellyfish-themed accessories for their feline friends.
You can also earn ocean-inspired decor items, including the Sea Dress and the Baby Mermaid Costume. The Underwater Palace area is now open, offering a new serene location rich with aquatic designs and a brighter, more colorful palette than the usual settings.
Additionally, this update introduces a new limited-time cat breed: the Ocean Bloom Abyssinian. Featuring soft pastel colors inspired by the sea, it stands out as one of the game's most charming and visually appealing cats to date.
Additional Live Events
The Baby Kitty Travel Destination event is currently underway and runs until June 29th. By participating in the event's gacha, you can collect Travel Destination Photo Pieces.
Accumulating enough event currency allows you to unlock six temporary travel spots. These include unique locations such as the Mysterious Woodland Library and a Venetian Gondola ride.
You can also spruce up your minirooms with coral decorations, pink beach items, and other summery furniture. Two new background music tracks are part of the update, available for purchase with your event currency.
Complementing the underwater theme, the Little Trunk Shop has begun a new season, offering roughly 300 fresh resources to collect. Furthermore, a login event starts on June 5th, rewarding players with items like jellyfish and sunglasses accessories.
"Cats & Soup" is available for download on the Google Play Store. For more gaming updates, check out our coverage of "Patch Quest," a new bullet-hell roguelite with monster-taming mechanics.
