Beach addressed the absence of certain historical civilizations and leaders, like Great Britain and India, from the initial Civ VII lineup. He explained that the sheer number of popular choices necessitated some omissions to make room for fresh, exciting additions. "We haven't forgotten about anybody who's been in our game before," he stated. "Things are getting left behind, but we always are looking at the big picture...So there's hope for Gandhi, yet."
