DC Launches Full-Cast Audiobook of All-Star Superman

All-Star Superman consistently ranks among the greatest Superman comics, securing a spot on IGN's Top 25 list. Now, fans can immerse themselves in this iconic tale through a new medium, as DC and Penguin Random House collaborate to release it as a full-cast audiobook.

Meghan Fitzmartin is tasked with adapting the work, which was initially penned by Grant Morrison and brought to life by Frank Quitely's illustrations. Quitely has also contributed a new cover illustration for the audiobook, showcased below:

Set in a unique universe, All-Star Superman follows the Man of Steel as he faces his mortality after an incident involving the sun. The narrative sees Superman, or Kal-El, confiding in Lois Lane and embarking on a series of heroic challenges reminiscent of the 12 Labors of Hercules. The story culminates in a final confrontation with his arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.

The All-Star Superman audiobook is set for release on June 24, 2025, just one month before the theatrical debut of James Gunn's Superman film.

This isn't the first time All-Star Superman has been adapted; it was previously transformed into an animated movie in 2011.
