Deadlock's February Update: Minor Tweaks, Major Impacts
Valve continues its steady stream of Deadlock updates, this time focusing on refinements to four heroes and key item adjustments. The changes, while seemingly small, significantly impact gameplay.
Calico suffered a substantial nerf. Her Return to Shadows ability received a ten-second cooldown increase, and 20% of its speed boost was shifted to tier 2. Additionally, the damage output of her tier 2 Leaping Slash was reduced.
Sinclair received a visual overhaul with updated sounds and animations, and his Rabbit Hex ability has been reworked into an area-of-effect (AoE) attack. Holliday and Wraith also experienced nerfs, though specifics weren't detailed.
Item changes include a reduction in stacks for Ammo Scavenger, eliminating its health bonus. Extra Stamina and Restorative Shot no longer offer fire rate and weapon damage boosts respectively.

This marks the fifth Deadlock update of 2025 and the first of February. Valve has adopted a flexible update schedule, releasing patches as needed rather than adhering to a fixed timetable. This latest update is a prime example of this new, responsive approach to development.
