Get Your Pet
Upon starting *Diablo IV* Season 7, immediately visit the nearest town's Wardrobe. Claim your pet! While they don't fight, pets automatically collect gold and materials, significantly speeding up your gameplay and letting you focus on combat and loot.
Grab Your Mercenaries
If you own the *Vessel of Hatred* expansion, recruit Mercenaries from the Den. Solo players can have two, easing combat and leveling. Building Rapport with them unlocks additional rewards.
Follow the Seasonal Questline and Level Up
Begin on Normal difficulty. Follow the seasonal questline (marked with green leaf icons). This introduces new mechanics like Headhunt zones, Grim Favors for the Tree of Whispers, and Witch powers. While not lengthy, it includes puzzles and primarily involves farming Favors in Headhunt zones. This is the most efficient way to reach level 60. Consistently farm Headhunt zone bosses, collect Favors, and upgrade Witch powers simultaneously.
Unlock Your Class Power
A helpful change: Prioritized class quests are skipped if completed on a previous character (requires logging in with that character on the Eternal realm first). This instantly unlocks your class power upon reaching the required level.
Headhunt Zones
While in Headhunt zones, actively complete Whispers. Four zones are always active; prioritize smaller, denser zones for faster mob farming and Whisper completion. Prioritize these Whisper quests: Fugitive Shepherd (escorting animals) and Fugitive (recovering a head or destroying a husk, activated by defeating Elites and interacting with roots). Trade 10 Grim Favors for a cache at the Tree of Whispers (or with the Raven of the Tree spawning in each Headhunt zone).
Witchcraft Powers
At the Tree of Whispers, purchase and upgrade Witchcraft powers using Restless Rot (obtained by killing Rot enemies). Prioritize damage upgrades. Some powers require interacting with Forgotten Altars found in dungeons, Nightmare Dungeons, Pits, and Rootholds (Torment 1 and above). Draughts of Whispers increase the chance of finding these Altars.
Rootholds
Rootholds (accessed via Whispering Woods from Whispers and Silent Chests) offer a rogue-lite experience similar to Infernal Hordes. Activate modifiers to improve loot quality. Open Exposed Roots for loot; modifiers affect their quantity and quality. Save Roothold keys for Torment 1 for optimal Ancestral loot.
Occult Gems
Craft Occult Gems (superior to regular gems) with Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. These are late-game items requiring significant Restless Rot and Heads (dropped by Roothold bosses and Fugitives; Draughts of Whispers increase Head drop rates).
Pits, Infernal Hordes, and Nightmare Dungeons
Continue incorporating Pits (for Glyph leveling), Nightmare Dungeons (for Glyphs), and Infernal Hordes (for masterworking materials for Uniques) into your routine.
