Diablo 4 Season 7: Fugitive Head Hunt Guide

Author : Harper Mar 12,2025

Diablo 4's Season of Witchcraft introduces exciting new content, but mastering it requires acquiring a rare resource: Fugitive Heads. This guide explains how to obtain them in Season 7.

What Are Fugitive Heads in Diablo 4 Season 7?

Season 7's Witchcraft Powers enhance gameplay, but their full potential relies on Occult Gems. These gems offer significant boosts (160 Armor and 8% Resist All), but crafting them demands a Fugitive Head. Before you can craft Occult Gems, you must acquire a Fugitive Head and deliver it to Gelena at the Tree of Whispers. Each subsequent Occult Gem creation requires at least one Fugitive Head, 1,000 Restless Rot, and 50,000 Gem Fragments. Therefore, efficiently obtaining Fugitive Heads is crucial.

Acquiring Fugitive Heads isn't straightforward. You must complete Whisper bounties within Headhunt zones—new areas introduced in Season 7. Successfully completing these bounties presents a chance for an Uprooted Cocoon to appear. However, these cocoons contain Headrotten Bosses, which must be defeated. Only some of these bosses drop Fugitive Heads.

While this process involves luck, you can increase your chances. The Draught of Whispers Elixir (obtained from Exposed Roots, Whispers Cache, and Coven’s Cache) boosts Fugitive Head spawn rates by 50% and increases the likelihood of encountering Forgotten Altars.

Finally, difficulty matters. Fugitive Heads have an extremely low spawn rate below Torment difficulty. While challenging, tackling Torment difficulty is recommended for consistent progress. Season 7's extended timeframe allows ample opportunity for Fugitive Head acquisition.
