Following the announcement of their new project, Project C4, ZA/UM has now unveiled an official mobile version of the critically acclaimed Disco Elysium, exclusively for Android devices. The studio aims to expand the game's reach to new audiences while offering a convenient, on-the-go experience for existing fans. The first two chapters of Disco Elysium will be available for free, with an option to unlock the full game with a one-time payment, ensuring an ad-free experience.
ZA/UM emphasizes the importance of informed purchasing decisions, stating, “Today’s ZA/UM studio is comprised of both creators and custodians of the Disco Elysium IP. We take both of those roles very seriously and we believe that is evident in the Disco Elysium mobile experience we are creating.” This commitment underscores their dedication to maintaining the integrity and quality of the game across platforms.

Studio head Denis Havel expressed enthusiasm about targeting the TikTok audience with Disco Elysium on mobile, stating, “We intend to captivate the TikTok user with quick hits of compelling story, art, and audio, ultimately creating an all new, deeply engaging form of entertainment.” Alongside the announcement, ZA/UM released a debut trailer and screenshots showcasing new 360-degree scenes and full voiceover, designed to immerse players in the world of Revachol.
The official description highlights the game as a "total re-imagination of the award-winning, gripping psychological RPG Disco Elysium," tailored for mobile users. It promises a story-rich adventure optimized for short play sessions, allowing players to engage with the game anytime, anywhere on their mobile devices.
Narrative Lead Chris Priestman described the mobile version as "what audiobooks wish they were," designed for quick, engaging bursts of gameplay. Disco Elysium is set to launch on Google Android in the summer of 2025.
It's important to note that while the studio retains the same name, many key contributors to the original Disco Elysium have since left ZA/UM. Numerous former ZA/UM members have departed the studio, with some now working on spiritual successors to the game.
