Jam City has opened pre-registration for Disney Magic Match 3D, a new mobile puzzle game developed in partnership with Disney and Pixar Games. This title moves beyond matching flat tiles or candy-shaped pieces to offer a fresh take on the genre.
What kind of matching does the game feature?
The core gameplay revolves around sorting 3D piles of nostalgic Disney and Pixar memorabilia. Your objective is to match and clear items to restore order to the enchanted Book of Magic.
Disney Magic Match 3D incorporates familiar match-3 mechanics but frames them within an engaging story. The magical book has been disrupted, scattering iconic items from across Disney's history into chaotic heaps.
Players tap through these magical clutter piles, organizing objects and creating groups of three to tidy each page. You must collect required items before time runs out, filling the item tray with triple matches to clear them and progress through the puzzle.
You can expect to find items like Moana's Heart of Te Fiti, Aladdin's magic lamp, Woody's boots from Toy Story, Mickey Mouse's gloves, Minnie Mouse's bow, and Donald Duck's hat. Completing levels rewards you with stars, which unlock prizes such as coins, power-ups, and extra lives from the Star Chest and Level Chest.
Visually, the game boasts a charming, plump, and colorful 3D art style, presenting beloved Disney characters in an adorable, chibi-like form. Check out the Disney Magic Match 3D pre-registration trailer below for a closer look.
While Disney Magic Match 3D is a puzzle game at heart, it also taps into the satisfying feeling of organizing clutter, much like the appeal found in games such as Unpacking or Tetris-style organizers.
Disney Magic Match 3D pre-registration is now available
Pre-registration is open worldwide, following a soft launch earlier this year in select regions. The game is already playable in the Philippines, Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Uruguay.
