Don't Starve Together's Mobile Debut: No Netflix, But Coming to iOS and Android
After a period of silence following the June 2024 announcement of Don't Starve Together's arrival on Netflix Games, we have an update. The game will not be coming to Netflix, but the good news is that it's still launching on mobile devices.
Playdigious and Klei Entertainment are collaborating to bring the Tim Burton-esque survival game to iOS and Android. This globally-released mobile version will be available via Google Play and the App Store. While a firm release date is pending, both developers assure us an announcement is forthcoming.

Netflix Deal Falls Through
It appears Don't Starve Together's exclusivity agreement with Netflix has been terminated. While the global mobile release is positive, this, along with other indie title cancellations from Netflix Games (like Shovel Knight Pocket Dungeon), raises questions about Netflix's future commitment to indie games.
The cancellation of Don't Starve Together, a highly acclaimed and iconic survival game, is concerning. It casts doubt on the prospects for other indie titles on the platform. Netflix's indie game selection has been a significant draw, and this shift is regrettable.
