Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero has been rated for the Nintendo Switch 2, hinting at its arrival on the new console even before an official announcement. Although we're yet to receive confirmation that this game, inspired by Akira Toriyama's beloved anime and manga series, is heading to the Switch 2, a now-deleted tweet from the Saudi General Authority of Media Regulation, as reported by the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit, suggests otherwise.
"Experience the fighting action in the latest game Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero. Available on Nintendo Switch 2, featuring 3D battles and storylines that change based on your choices," the tweet stated before being taken down, confirming it had received a 12+ rating.
Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero elevates the legendary gameplay of the Budokai Tenkaichi series to new heights, offering an impressive roster of playable characters, each boasting unique abilities, transformations, and techniques.
In our IGN Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero review, we awarded it a 7/10, noting, "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, but the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is still a good one."
Pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 opened on April 24, maintaining a price of $449.99 — and they sold out as quickly as you might imagine. On the same day, Nintendo issued a warning to U.S. customers who pre-ordered a Switch 2 through the My Nintendo Store, stating that delivery on the release date was not guaranteed due to overwhelming demand.
