"Open Drive: Steer Cars with Eye Tracking Now on Android Early Access"

Open Drive, a groundbreaking racing game for mobile devices, is now available in early access on Android. Developed by the charity organization SpecialEffect in collaboration with Sun & Moon Studios, this game is a testament to inclusive gaming, designed to cater to players with various physical abilities.

What’s the Game About?

Open Drive is not just a game; it's an experience tailored to let players enjoy it their way. Whether you prefer touch controls, a keyboard and mouse, switch access, or a controller, the game adapts to your chosen method. This inclusivity extends to alternative input methods like eye gaze, making Open Drive a pioneering mobile-specific eye control game. With a compatible eye gaze camera, players can steer simply by looking left or right, opening up the world of gaming to those with physical challenges who might struggle with traditional touch or gamepad inputs.

The game spans four distinct open worlds—Stunt, Speed, Snow, and Meadow—each fully accessible via eye control. Gameplay is incredibly versatile, allowing you to leisurely drive and collect orbs or chase high scores with daring jumps using vehicles like the Roadster, Trickster, or Speedster. You can even adjust the speed to your preference. Dive into the excitement with the early access announcement trailers of Open Drive below.

Open Drive Is Now Out in Early Access

Open Drive intelligently auto-detects your preferred control method and seamlessly adjusts the gameplay experience. For those using Android's Switch Access, full support is provided. Each input method features unique setups; for instance, touch controls offer 'Precise' and 'Classic' modes, allowing steering through tapping or directional control with minimal effort.

Currently available in early access on Android, the full eye control functionality is expected to be complete by this summer. You can explore Open Drive on the Google Play Store now and look forward to the complete version, which will be available for free.
