Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test: Sign-Ups Open January 10th
The first network test for Elden Ring Nightreign begins accepting registrations on January 10th, 2025. However, this initial beta will only be available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
Announced at The Game Awards 2024, Elden Ring Nightreign is a cooperative Soulsborne experience set in The Lands Between, designed for three-player parties. The game's full release is slated for 2025.
This limited beta test is standard procedure for online games. Registration opens Friday, January 10th, via the official website. While the number of available spots isn't publicly known, it's likely to be limited.
How to Register for the Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test:
- Visit the official Elden Ring Nightreign network test website starting January 10th.
- Register, specifying your preferred platform (PS5 or Xbox Series X/S).
- Await confirmation email (arriving no later than February 2025).
- Participate in the test during February 2025.
Platform Limitations and Other Details
Successful applicants will receive confirmation emails by February 2025, the month the test is scheduled to run. Exact dates will be announced soon. The exclusion of PS4, Xbox One, and PC from this beta is notable, limiting participation to less than half the planned platforms. Cross-platform play is not supported, meaning players will only be matched with others on the same console.
Progress made during the network test will likely not carry over to the final game. While unconfirmed, additional beta tests may be held before launch.
Beyond the platform limitations, Elden Ring Nightreign's online features are also restricted to solo play or three-player parties; two-player parties are not supported. Whether the network test will have additional gameplay restrictions remains to be seen.
