This guide provides a walkthrough for the Honkai: Star Rail side quest, "The Last Knight," in the Rinascita region of Wuthering Waves. While less grand than main quests, it offers a unique perspective on life outside Ragunna City and valuable rewards.

The Last Knight is a relatively straightforward side quest, but requires completion of Chapter 2 (specifically, the "What Yesterday Wept, Today Doth Sing" quest). It's highly recommended to finish the main storyline before exploring Rinascita, as many side quests are locked until Chapter 2, Act 3 is complete.
Starting the Quest
Locate Cosimo in Egla Town, Whisperwind Haven. He's usually found near the first house by the main road, marked by a blue quest marker on your map.
The Night Reveries Performance
This involves defeating the Mad Knight, who only appears at night (18:00 to 06:00). Find him at the town's central pool. He's not a particularly challenging opponent.
Mimic Chest Challenge
After defeating the Mad Knight, travel to the tallest tower and then to Carlow's location (marked on your map). He'll be unconscious near a large purple flower. Interacting with the flower transports you to an area with multiple chests. Only one is genuine; the others are mimics. The correct chest is the second one in the middle-left. Defeat the mimics after opening the real chest.
Following the Knight's Trail
This involves visiting locations associated with the legendary knight, following quest markers and speaking with NPCs.
After speaking with Mr. Millkeeper, follow the scent to a unique Chop Chop enemy accompanied by invulnerable Leftless and Rightless. A Questless Knight Echo is recommended for this battle, allowing you to parry and stun the Chop Chop.
Finding Carlow
Return to Egla Town during the day. Find Carlow in a town plaza; he'll be challenged by knights. The quest concludes after Carlow accepts a duel, revealing the truth behind the "Mad Knight" legend. You'll receive rewards including Union XP, Astrites, and resources.
