The Thing with Feathers Review

Author : Emery Mar 04,2025

This review is based on a screening at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival. The film, while visually stunning, ultimately falls short of its ambitious narrative goals. The cinematography is breathtaking, utilizing bold colors and innovative camera angles to create a truly immersive experience. However, the plot, while intriguing at first, becomes convoluted and loses its focus in the second act. Character development is also uneven, with some characters feeling fully realized while others remain underdeveloped and stereotypical. Despite its flaws, the film's visual artistry and moments of genuine emotional depth make it worth watching, though perhaps not a must-see.
