The Fell Omen bosses from Elden Ring have become iconic, and it's thrilling to see FromSoftware bring them back in Elden Ring Nightreign, unleashing them across the Lands Between. Morgott, a notorious boss from the original game, continues to haunt players in Nightreign, where his phantom versions can unexpectedly invade your gameplay, much like in the main campaign. This feature has been enhanced in Nightreign, with an unnamed Fell Omen—essentially an upgraded version of Morgott—capable of jump-scaring players at any moment.
Morgott isn't the only boss capable of invading your squad in Nightreign, but his inclusion is particularly apt. His surprise appearances echo his behavior in Elden Ring, and he's been given new voice lines and additional moves to keep players on their toes. It's only fair that if you can bring friends into the fight, Morgott gets some new tricks up his sleeve.
Beyond invasions, the Fell Omen can also appear as a formidable end-of-night boss, challenging players as the sun sets during the Elden Ring Nightreign test.

Early testers, including the renowned player Let Me Solo Her, have faced off against the Fell Omen during the Elden Ring Nightreign sessions. The general feedback? Morgott, also known as Margit or the Fell Omen, remains a formidable and beloved adversary. Players on the Elden Ring Nightreign subreddit have praised Morgott's invasion mechanic as one of their favorite features, sharing stories of encounters in various locations, from elevators to towers, showcasing the unpredictable nature of these invasions.
The sudden appearances of the Fell Omen have sparked excitement about the potential for other enemies to invade unexpectedly. The Pursuer from Dark Souls 2 is a popular suggestion, while some fans, including myself, dream of seeing Hunters from Bloodborne, though that seems a distant possibility.

There may be even more to the Fell Omen invasions than meets the eye. GamesRadar reported an instance where the Omen not only defeated a co-op partner but also left a curse mark on the fallen player, hinting at deeper mechanics that could be explored further.
Despite server issues during the first network test, many players still managed to dive into the Lands Between over the weekend. We'll have to wait until May 30 to see the full scope of Nightreign, but in the meantime, you can check out our hands-on impressions of Elden Ring Nightreign here.
