Summary
Square Enix has updated the PC specifications for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, requiring high-end graphics cards with 12-16GB VRAM for optimal 4K performance. The game will leverage DLSS upscaling, Shader Model 6.6, and DirectX 12 Ultimate.
Two weeks ahead of its PC launch, Square Enix detailed the minimum, recommended, and ultra settings for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. They strongly recommend a high-end graphics card boasting 12GB to 16GB VRAM for 4K resolution gameplay. This announcement follows the PS5 Pro enhancement patch released in November, optimizing the game for Sony's upgraded console. Unlike Final Fantasy VII Remake, Rebirth will not receive any DLC, with Square Enix focusing on Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3.
While initial PC spec requirements were revealed at The Game Awards, Square Enix has since clarified that 12-16GB VRAM is recommended for 4K monitors. The game still demands a 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 OS, 155GB of SSD storage, and 16GB of RAM. A multi-core CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600 or equivalent is recommended, alongside an Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 or better (supporting DLSS).
