Fortnite's Kinetic Blade: Location and Gameplay Guide
The Kinetic Blade, a fan-favorite melee weapon from Chapter 4 Season 2, returns to Fortnite Battle Royale in Chapter 6 Season 1 (Fortnite Hunters). Players now have a choice between the Kinetic Blade and the new Typhoon Blade. This guide details how to find and effectively use the Kinetic Blade.
Locating the Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade appears as floor loot in both Battle Royale Build and Zero Build modes. It can also be found inside standard and Rare chests. However, its current drop rate is relatively low, and the absence of dedicated Kinetic Blade stands (unlike the Typhoon Blade) further reduces its availability.
Mastering the Kinetic Blade
The Kinetic Blade is a fast-paced melee weapon. Unlike the Typhoon Blade, which requires sprinting for increased speed, the Kinetic Blade utilizes a Dash Attack. This lunge attack inflicts 60 damage upon impact and can be chained up to three times before requiring a recharge.
Alternatively, the Knockback Slash deals 35 damage and sends opponents flying. This attack can lead to additional fall damage, potentially resulting in an elimination.
