Final Fantasy XIV offers a Free Login Campaign! From January 9th to February 6th, 2025, eligible players with inactive accounts can enjoy four consecutive days of free gameplay. This promotion is available across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox platforms.
This generous offer follows the release of Patch 7.15, which included new side quests within the Dawntrail expansion, such as the return of the Hildibrand storyline and a fresh Custom Delivery client. Producer and director Naoki Yoshida's recent New Year's message confirmed upcoming Patches 7.2 and 7.3 for 2025, along with smaller content updates, and hinted at the future direction of the Dawntrail main storyline.
The Free Login Campaign provides a perfect opportunity for lapsed players to return to Eorzea and catch up. Eligibility requires a purchased and registered Final Fantasy XIV account that has been inactive for at least 30 days prior to the campaign's start. Accounts suspended or canceled due to Terms of Service violations are excluded. The 96-hour free play timer begins upon logging into the game launcher. Players can verify their eligibility through the Mog Station.
While the campaign runs, players can participate in the Heavensturn event (until January 16th) to earn a minion reward, and anticipate Patch 7.16's release on January 21st, concluding the Dawntrail Role Quest side series. This free period allows players to catch up on Dawntrail's narrative before the arrival of Patch 7.2.
