How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
As the Natlan Archon Quest in Genshin Impact nears its conclusion, players are diving deeper into the game's lore and facing more challenging combat scenarios. Each nation in the game features two weekly bosses, and the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire stands out as a particularly formidable adversary. This dual-sworded Dragon, a symbol of the ancient ruler of Natlan, has been enhanced by Gosoythoth, making it a fearsome foe. Its connection to the Abyss is evident, mirroring the Corrosion effect seen with Riftwolves in Inazuma. While the battle is tough, it's certainly not impossible. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to conquer the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire in Genshin Impact.
Where To Find The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
The Lord of Eroded Primal Fire is located in the Stone Stele Records domain, situated just south of the Statue of Seven near the Masters of the Night-Wind tribe. This domain is within a shrine commemorating the fallen during the Natlan battle. To access this boss and claim rewards, players must spend 30 Original Resin for the first three weekly boss fights.
To unlock this boss, players need to complete the final chapter of the Archon Quest: When All Becomes A Monument. Alternatively, if you prefer to bypass the story, you can enter the domain via the Quick Challenge option in the Adventurer’s Handbook.
How To Beat The Lord Of Eroded Primal Fire In Genshin Impact
Successfully defeating the Lord of Eroded Primal Fire often requires the use of Natlan characters such as Mavuika, Kinich, Citlali, and Mualani. The dragon remains mostly stationary but will summon three Pillars and three Tenebrous Mimiflora during the fight. Characters with Nightsoul Blessings are crucial for quickly dealing with these.
Make Sure To Destroy The Three Pillars With Nightsoul Blessing
While it's possible to use other characters to destroy the summoned Pillars, it's far more efficient with Natlan characters like Mavuika, Citlali, Kinich, or Kachina. These characters significantly reduce the time needed to break the shields, allowing you to interrupt the Dragon's Eroded Meteor attack. Destroying the pillars will stun the Dragon for about 10 seconds, giving you a window to inflict damage.
However, if the Pillars aren't destroyed quickly enough, the meteor attack will commence. Ensure you have a shield equipped and switch to a healer like Furina, Kokomi, Kuki, Barbara, or Bennett to mitigate the corrosion damage that can penetrate shields and potentially one-shot you at full HP.
Try Your Best To Dodge Or Stay Underneath The Dragon
Dodging the Dragon's attacks can be challenging due to their unpredictability. The Dragon often turns into smoke and moves erratically around the arena, followed by rapid sword slashes and smashes that reduce the battlefield's size. When this happens, staying close to the Dragon and attacking from underneath can be effective, but caution is essential due to the Dragon's Eroded Dragon Breath attack, which inflicts Pyro and Erosion damage.
To survive the Dragon Breath, you must be well-shielded and constantly healed. If overwhelmed, you can retreat to the edges of the battlefield near the Dragon's hands, where the attack doesn't reach. Be prepared to heal immediately after any sword slashes to counteract the Erosion effect.
Co-Op Mode and Matching
Whether you have Natlan characters or not, Co-Op Mode can be a game-changer. By matching with other players who have Nightsoul Blessing characters, you can more easily navigate the Pillar phase. Simply select 'Match' upon entering the Domain to join another player's world and tackle the boss together.
Fortunately, this battle lacks multiple phases, unlike some other Weekly Bosses, but it still demands a significant time investment to complete successfully.
