In *Call of Duty: Black Ops 6* Zombies, armor is a crucial element for Operators. To enhance your protection beyond the standard Tier 3, players can now unlock the Gold Armor Vest through a new easter egg on The Tomb. Here's your guide to obtaining the Gold Armor Vest in *Black Ops 6*.
What Does Gold Armor Do in Black Ops 6 Zombies?
Gold Armor, first introduced in *Modern Warfare 3* Zombies, addresses players' frustrations with frequent armor re-plating. In *Black Ops 6*, this armor variant automatically repairs over time, eliminating the need for constant manual re-plating. Even without armor plates in your inventory, the Gold Armor Vest will self-repair, making it an essential asset for resource management and protection against powerful enemies like Amalgams, ensuring you're never caught defenseless.

How To Get Gold Armor on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Unlocking Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies involves several steps:
- Acquire 2 statue heads from the Dark Aether Nexus
- Place the statue heads on the ruined statues in the Dig Site
- Activate and survive two "Blood Sacrifices"
- Purchase the Gold Armor Vest in the Roman Mausoleum
Where To Find the Statue Heads in The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
To start the process of unlocking Gold Armor, head to the Dark Aether Nexus to find two statue heads, which are essential for repairing the Roman statues in the Dig Site area.
These statue heads are located within wooden boxes in the Dark Aether Nexus. You'll need to destroy these boxes with melee attacks to reveal the heads. Once a box is broken and the head is visible, press and hold the interact button to collect it.
The first head can be found next to a palm tree in the corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, near the green Gateway portal. The second is easier to spot, located close to the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.
How To Use the Statue Heads on The Tomb in Black Ops 6 Zombies
With both heads in hand, return to the Dig Site near The Tomb's initial spawn point. You'll find two Roman Statues here; one near the Ammo Cache by the door leading to the Neolithic Catacombs, and the other near the Roman Mausoleum, which also serves as a potential spawn for the Pack-a-Punch machine. Interact with each statue to place the heads and repair them.
How To Survive the Blood Sacrifice in Black Ops 6 Zombies
After placing the heads, a prompt will appear to start the Blood Sacrifice. This challenge is tough, as it locks your health at 1 HP until you defeat the spawned High-Value Targets (HVTs), which include Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts. The number of HVTs increases with more players in co-op.
To prepare, ensure you have a Tier 3 vest and ample armor plates, as all damage will be directed to your armor. It's best to activate the Blood Sacrifice at the end of a round to minimize additional enemy interference. During the challenge, healing and using powerful support like Chopper Gunners or Mutant Injections are disabled.
For solo players, using a Mutant Injection can transform you into a damage-resistant Mangler. Time the activation of the injection just as you start the Blood Sacrifice, and melee the HVTs to defeat them. In co-op, one player can activate the challenge while another, positioned outside the Dig Site, uses a Chopper Gunner to eliminate the HVTs from above.
After successfully completing both Blood Sacrifices, the Gold Armor Vest becomes available as a free Wall Buy in the Roman Mausoleum.
That's how you can secure the Gold Armor on The Tomb in *Black Ops 6* Zombies.
