The excitement for the new GTA 6 trailer is palpable, and if you missed it, we've already broken down all the secrets and details for you. However, the wait to dive into Lucia and Jason's story won't end until May 26, 2026. In the meantime, let's take a nostalgic journey through the rich catalog of Rockstar games we've enjoyed over the years and have some fun ranking them.
Since its inception in 1998, Rockstar has crafted over 30 games, giving us iconic series like Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, and Manhunt. But which of these gems shines the brightest? Note that this list focuses solely on games developed by Rockstar, excluding titles like LA Noire or Max Payne 2, which they published. I've put together my personal tier list based on enjoyment over the years using an IGN Tier List. Check it out:
Red Dead Redemption 2 effortlessly claims the top spot in my S-tier, being my all-time favorite game. It's joined by its predecessor and GTA 5, both trailblazers in the cinematic open-world genre. I also hold a special place in my heart for Max Payne 3 with its stunning bullet time mechanics, and GTA San Andreas, which I played far too young. At the bottom of the D-tier, you'll find games like Austin Powers: Oh, Behave! and Welcome to My Underground Lair!, titles that most would agree are best left unplayed.
Do you disagree with my rankings? Perhaps you believe Vice City surpasses GTA 4? Feel free to create your own tier list below and compare your S, A, B, C, and D tiers with the IGN community.

With only two trailers released so far for GTA 6, where do you think it will land on the tier list once it's fully released? Share your thoughts in the comments, and let us know your rationale for ranking the games as you have.
