Leslie Benzies, the former lead game designer behind iconic titles like Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, is set to unveil his latest project, MindsEye. This much-anticipated game was recently showcased at the PlayStation State of Play, revealing a thrilling high-tech spy narrative that echoes some of the elements fans loved in Grand Theft Auto.

The newly released trailer for MindsEye offers a glimpse into its world, featuring intense third-person gunplay, stunning high-end cinematics, and exhilarating drive-and-shoot sequences. You can immerse yourself in the cinematic trailer by clicking the play button below.

According to the official press release, MindsEye centers around the protagonist, Jacob Diaz, who is equipped with a neural implant known as the MindsEye. This device, however, has led to fragmented flashbacks of his military past. Driven by a quest to uncover the truth about his history, Jacob's journey intersects with an AI-powered military force that aims to thwart his efforts.

MindsEye has been in the works for several years since Benzies departed from Rockstar Games to establish his new studio, Build a Rocket Boy. In a notable collaboration, he has partnered with IO Interactive, the developers behind the Hitman series. Positioned as a AAA action-adventure game, MindsEye is set to be a cornerstone of the Everywhere platform, which we previously likened to "Big budget Roblox" following a visit to their studio in 2024.

Although the latest trailer did not delve into Everywhere, MindsEye itself promises to be an exhilarating addition to the action genre, crafted by one of its most renowned figures. Fans can mark their calendars for the summer of 2025, when MindsEye is slated for release.
