Mastering Mount Acquisition in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's expansive open world can initially feel overwhelming. Efficient traversal requires a trusty steed. Here's how to acquire a horse.

Reclaiming Your Horse
Your original horse, Pebbles, can be retrieved. Visit the horse trader in Semine (south). However, regaining Pebbles requires either a Groschen payment, persuasion, or intimidation. During my playthrough, adopting a more noble appearance (through new clothing obtained via the Radovan questline) facilitated a free retrieval, albeit with a minor reputation penalty in Semine. If persuasion fails, prepare to pay.
Stealing a Horse
Alternatively, you can acquire a horse through less scrupulous means. Wild horses are rare. Farms and stables offer better prospects, but stealing carries the risk of capture.
I recommend targeting the Vidlak Pond farmhouse (west). The fishermen residing there possess two horses. Simply mount one and ride away.
Subsequently, visit the Nomads' Camp (east of Vidlak Pond). The horse trainer there can saddle and tame your stolen horse for a fee. Riding the horse unsaddled is also an option.
