Genshin Impact's upcoming 5.5 update is bringing two exciting new characters to the roster! MiHoYo has officially unveiled Varesa, a 5-star Electro Catalyst user, whose playful exterior belies an incredible battle prowess. Leaked concept art and gameplay footage had already generated considerable hype, but the official reveal confirms her arrival.

As described by Iansan: "Varesa, my most peculiar student… Her easygoing nature belies her strength. She's always exploring, searching for delicious treats or a cozy spot to rest. But beware! Against Abyss monsters, she transforms into an unstoppable force!"
Joining Varesa is Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user, promoted from NPC to playable character. Iansan is Natlan's top trainer, and Varesa's mentor.
