Jupiter Expansion: Stellar Mercenaries' Largest Update Released

Over 50 new missions have been added across five distinct worlds, offering players a richer gaming experience. Stellar Mercenaries has just launched its largest update yet, The Jupiter Expansion, which nearly doubles the game’s content. This expansion introduces two warring factions, the Jovian Empire and the Pirate Council, locked in conflict around Jupiter and its moons.

Six brand-new weapons and ships have been added to the game, each with unique abilities and configurations. Players can choose from the Raider, Goblin, Mako, Boxer, Lightning, and Skybreaker, providing diverse playstyles suited to various combat scenarios.

Combat depth has been enhanced with six new weapons, including the Hyper Velocity Mortar, Plasma Seeker, EMP Rockets, Mauler Cannon, Electron Beam, and Neutron Beam. Defensive capabilities have also been upgraded with Tier 4 shields and armours, along with new special abilities and mods such as Drones, Point Defense, Critical Strike, and Missile Fire Rate, adding layers of strategy to every encounter.

Enemy encounters have become even more challenging with the introduction of Nightmare, Riot, and Warhawk-class mercenaries, formidable opponents that scale with the player’s progress. Dynamic environmental hazards, including asteroid fields, elite enemy ambushes, and the mysterious Pacifier lurking in deep space, ensure no two battles are ever the same.

A new side mission system has been integrated to keep the gameplay fresh and unpredictable, while 14 new music tracks create an immersive sci-fi atmosphere. The Hangar Manager now offers expanded inventory and loadout slots, making it easier to manage your arsenal.
