In a Bluesky post on March 7th, 2025, Tripwire acknowledged the shortcomings of the closed beta. The statement emphasized a commitment to delivering a game that lives up to the franchise's standards, stating the need to address concerns regarding performance, stability, user interface, lighting, and weapon feel.

Player feedback from the beta was overwhelmingly critical, with common complaints including clunky controls, numerous glitches, and a departure from the series' established horror elements in favor of a more futuristic sci-fi aesthetic. Concerns were also raised about the character and class selection system implemented during the beta. One Reddit user, Captain_Pugman, poignantly summarized the sentiment: "At what point did you forget what made Killing Floor special?"

Tripwire concluded their announcement by expressing their commitment to delivering a polished product and promising to keep fans updated.
