The game has been the subject of a ban in Saudi Arabia, which sparked rumors about specific content and "progressive" ideas allegedly introduced into the game. These rumors have led to a social media backlash against the developers, with some activists attempting to cancel *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* and dissuade people from supporting the developers.
In response to these rumors, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, the PR manager of Warhorse Studios, has urged the public to trust the developers and not to believe everything they read online. Stolz-Zwilling also provided an update on the game's progress, stating that review codes will be distributed "in the coming days" following the game's achievement of gold status in early December. These codes are expected to be sent out four weeks prior to the game's release, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to form their initial impressions and prepare their reviews.
Interestingly, just a week after the distribution of review codes, the first "final previews" based on sections of the game from the review version are expected to be available to the public.
