Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: A Closer Look at Village Life and Recent Controversy
Warhorse Studios continues to unveil aspects of Kingdom Come Deliverance 2, focusing this time on village activities. Players will experience a richer, more interactive world where protagonist Henry can engage in various activities, including drinking, shepherding, archery (both crossbow and bow), prayer, hunting, and assisting villagers – even tasks as specific as finding antidotes for the injured.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is slated for release on February 4, 2025.
However, the game has recently become the target of online activism. Following the discovery of certain in-game subpoenas, campaigns emerged aiming to cancel the game's development. Figures like Grummz, labeled as "agenda-driven" by some, have fueled this public outcry.
These controversies intensified after news of a Saudi Arabian ban on KCD 2 spread online, sparking rumors about "progressive" content within the game. Social media users launched attacks against the developers, pushing for cancellation and discouraging further funding.
In response to these online attacks and misinformation, Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, urged the public to trust the developers and to critically evaluate online information before forming opinions.
