The arrival of Black and White Kyurem has been a long-awaited moment for many fans. While a surprise early release occurred in 2023, their official debut within a themed event solidifies their place in the Pokemon GO roster. Fusion Frenzy: Creating Black and White Kyurem
Similar to last year's Necrozma fusion event, players can fuse Kyurem with other legendary Pokemon! Black Kyurem can be fused with Zekrom using 1000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Zekrom Candy. White Kyurem fuses with Reshiram, requiring 1000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, and 30 Reshiram Candy. These fusions are reversible at no cost. The necessary Fusion Energy is earned by defeating Kyurem in raids.
These fused forms boast unique attacks: Black Kyurem learns Freeze Shock, and White Kyurem learns Ice Burn. Furthermore, the event offers special backgrounds themed after Pokemon Black and White. Unlocking these requires fusing either Black Kyurem with Zekrom or White Kyurem with Reshiram, with a bonus background awarded for completing both fusions.
