High on Life 2 introduces even more imaginative sci-fi weaponry, a broader cast of eccentric characters, and "more than five" playable retro games hidden throughout the world—including the infamous Bible Adventures.
During a conversation at gamescom 2025, Squanch Games' Chief Creative Officer and Art Director Mikey Spano, along with Chief Operating Officer and Executive Producer Matty Studivan, explained to IGN how they're raising the stakes for the sequel to the hit comedy shooter. While a larger cast and a fresh narrative may be the main attraction for returning fans, the studio emphasized packing in more hidden Easter eggs to discover.
The first High on Life was well-known for featuring several full-length movies for players to stumble upon, and it seems the sequel will take this concept even further. Spano revealed that, alongside "some surprising B+ tier movies," High on Life 2 incorporates fully-emulated, playable classic video games. When the team first discussed which titles to include, Spano noted that one game was an immediate priority: Bible Adventures.
"Yes, you can play the entire game," Spano confirmed regarding the officially licensed version featured in High on Life 2. "And it's not the only emulated title included."
We've already gotten a hint of how Bible Adventures appears in the sequel. A gameplay demo from gamescom 2025 showed that players will eventually encounter Richard Kind’s character, Senator Muppy Doo. After he shrinks down to invade the player—and their in-game menu—players discover what may be the only legal way to experience Bible Adventures in 2025.
Spano stopped short of specifying the exact number of playable games or naming other titles, but he did confirm there are at least "more than five." If Bible Adventures is just the first to be revealed, it's anyone's guess what other surprises are in store.
We won't have to wait much longer to see which movies and retro games made their way into High on Life 2. Earlier this week, Squanch confirmed the sequel's release date as February 13, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Game Pass.
