How to Get Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds

In *Monster Hunter Wilds*, slaying and capturing monsters is just part of the adventure. To craft and upgrade your arsenal, you'll need to gather materials like Lightcrystals. Here's your guide to efficiently farming Lightcrystals and how to use them to enhance your gear.

Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations

Lightcrystals are found in Mining Outcrops scattered throughout *Monster Hunter Wilds*. The drop rate can be unpredictable, so patience is key. Here are the prime locations for farming:

  • Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
  • Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
  • Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
  • Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5

After mining, these outcrops will respawn in about 15 to 20 minutes. Use this time to explore other areas and gather different resources before returning to your Lightcrystal spots.

How to Use Lightcrystals

Once you've collected enough Lightcrystals, head back to Gemma at Base Camp. She can help you forge or upgrade the following equipment:

  • Guild Knight Sabers I
  • Dragon Perforator II
  • Dual Hatchets II
  • Triple Bayonet II
  • Iron Assault II
  • Iron Gale II
  • Chain Blitz II
  • Iron Accelerator II
  • Hyperguard II
  • Buster Sword II
  • Iron Hammer II
  • Metal Bagpipe II
  • Chrome Drill II
  • Iron Katana II
  • Iron Beater II
  • Ingot Vambraces
  • Thunder Charm III

Keep in mind, many of these items, except for the Thunder Charm, may be outclassed quickly. It's wise to stay on the lookout for better gear as you progress through the game.

That's all you need to know about farming and using Lightcrystals in *Monster Hunter Wilds*. For more tips and detailed information on the game, including a comprehensive list of all armor sets, be sure to check out The Escapist.
