While card spoilers for Edge of Eternities are yet to be unveiled, we already have a glimpse into what's in store. Here's a comprehensive overview of what we know about Magic: The Gathering: Edge of Eternities so far.
What is MTG Edge of Eternities?
This year, Wizards of the Coast is heavily invested in the 'Universes Beyond' initiative, beginning with the eagerly awaited Final Fantasy set, followed by Spider-Man and Avatar: The Last Airbender later in the year. However, Edge of Eternities diverges from this trend by staying firmly within Magic's own universe. It introduces a cosmic theme and heralds the commencement of the final chapter in the Metronome storyline, which kicked off with Wilds of Eldraine. While only concept art has been shared so far, the anticipation for this new set is palpable.

Play Boosters have emerged as the primary way to open packs, replacing both Set and Draft Boosters. Each pack contains 15 cards, suitable for draft and sealed play. The first six cards are commons, followed by a seventh common that may be a reprint. Cards 8 to 10 are uncommons, and card 11 is a rare or mythic rare. The twelfth card is a Land, which can be foil or full art, while card 13 serves as a wildcard from the set. Card 14 is a guaranteed foil wildcard, increasing the chance of obtaining highly sought-after cards. Play Boosters can be purchased individually or in a booster box.

Many of these cards feature a sleek frame design, with 12 to 13 cards being foils. Collector Boosters can be bought individually or as part of a box, catering to collectors seeking the most desirable cards.
Commander Decks

Commander has become Magic's most popular format, offering thrilling 'last player standing' matches and ready-to-play 100-card decks. Edge of Eternities will include two Commander decks: World Shaper and Counter Intelligence. World Shaper, in Black, Red, and Green (Jund), focuses on sacrificing lands to grow back stronger. Counter Intelligence, in Blue, Red, and White (Jeskai), emphasizes boosting artifacts and proliferating counters. This set reduces the number of decks compared to previous releases, streamlining the options for players.
