Today's preview also introduces some unique features of the set, such as Summons, which are Magic's first-ever Saga creatures that players can call upon during battles (check out Summon: Shiva in the gallery). Moreover, the set brings back double-faced cards, exemplified by Cecil's dual nature as a Dark Knight and a Redeemed Paladin.
The Final Fantasy set is set to include over 100 legendary creature cards, with 55 of them being borderless and illustrated by beloved artists from the Final Fantasy universe. This set will be fully draftable and Standard-legal, launching on June 13 alongside four preconstructed Commander decks. Each deck is themed around a different Final Fantasy game—6, 7, 10, and 14—and contains 100 cards, blending new Final Fantasy cards with existing ones featuring new Final Fantasy art.
