Marvel Rivals: A Free-to-Play Guide to Earning Units
While Marvel Rivals is free-to-play, it utilizes microtransactions and various currencies, including Units, for cosmetic purchases. This guide details how to acquire Units without spending real money.
What are Units?
Units are the in-game currency used to purchase cosmetic items like character skins and sprays within the Marvel Rivals Shop. These cosmetics are purely aesthetic and don't affect gameplay; hero abilities and power remain accessible regardless of purchases.
How to Earn Units
There are two primary methods for obtaining Units: the Battle Pass and completing Missions.
Battle Pass:
Both the free and premium (Luxury) Battle Pass tracks offer Units. Progressing through matches unlocks sections of the Battle Pass, granting Units as rewards. Additionally, some Battle Pass tiers reward Lattice, which can be exchanged for more Units.
Missions:
Season-specific missions provide a significant source of Units, alongside other in-game currencies such as Chrono Tokens and Lattice. Daily and weekly missions, however, do not currently reward Units. Focus on completing the seasonal objectives for optimal Unit acquisition.
