Curious about the very beginning of the Avengers? Want to know what Odin was up to long before Thor or Loki entered the picture? And just who is Agamotto — yes, that mystical figure behind the Eye of Agamotto? The answers lie within Marvel Snap’s latest season: Prehistoric Avengers.
While these ancient versions of heroes have made occasional appearances in Marvel lore, this is the first time they’re fully playable as cards. Step into the past and summon the original Black Panther, the fiery Phoenix host Firehair, the enigmatic Khonshu, and even Agamotto himself — each wielding unique, powerful abilities tailored to shake up your strategy.
And speaking of power shifts, meet Skills — a revolutionary new card type. Unlike traditional cards, Skills represent actions or magical effects rather than characters. Once played, they’re immediately Banished (gone for good), carry no Power value, but cost significantly less Energy, enabling faster, more dynamic turns.
By the Eye of Agamotto — you know the drill
But the evolution doesn’t stop there. Two new locations are now live, changing how you approach each match:
- Star Brand Crater: Gain bonus Energy if you hold the highest Power total at this location.
- Celestial Burial Ground: Discard any card and replace it with another of the same Energy cost — a game-changer for hand optimization.
Complementing these additions are Spotlight Caches, packed with high-tier cards — both fan-favorites and fresh faces — plus stunning variant art to collect and show off. Meanwhile, High Voltage mode returns, cranking up the pace and rewarding aggressive, fast-paced playstyles.
