Baldur's Gate 3 Patch 8 Stress Test Underway: A Massive Update on the Horizon
Larian Studios has initiated a stress test for the upcoming, substantial Patch 8 for Baldur's Gate 3. This pre-release test aims to identify and resolve any remaining bugs before the official launch.

Stress Test Update 1: Bug Fixes and Improvements
A first update to the Patch 8 stress test build is now available, addressing various bugs, crashes, and scripting errors. Key improvements include resolving issues with container contents persistence upon destruction, enhancing Steam Deck Photo Mode functionality, improving pose responsiveness, refining cross-play capabilities, and correcting the Booming Blade tooltip. A full changelog is available on the official Baldur's Gate 3 website.

Patch 8: A Major Update
This anticipated patch is expected to be one of the final major content updates before Larian concludes their work on Faerûn. Patch 8 will introduce significant features, including:
- Cross-platform play: Enabling seamless multiplayer across different platforms.
- Over 12 new subclasses: Adding considerable depth to character creation, such as the Death Domain Cleric, Path of Giants Barbarian, and Arcane Archer Fighter.
- Highly-anticipated Photo Mode: Offering extensive customization options.
Photo Mode: Unleash Your Inner Photographer
A dedicated video provides a detailed preview of the upcoming Photo Mode. Accessible during gameplay, combat, and even multiplayer sessions (for the host), Photo Mode allows for comprehensive character posing, free camera movement, and post-processing effects, stickers, and frames. While dialogue and cutscenes restrict manipulation of poses, post-processing remains available. Additional tips and tricks videos are planned to further showcase Photo Mode's potential.
Only players participating in the stress test can currently access this update. The official release date for Patch 8 remains unannounced.
